| JO SHANNON has been teaching Suzuki piano for over twenty-five years. She earned her BM and MA degrees in Music Education at Western Michigan and Wayne State Universities. While teaching music in the public schools in Michigan, she pursued her Suzuki training with Mary Craig Powell and Gail Lang among others. After moving to California, Jo taught music and computers at St. Marks School in Downey and for the past six years has maintained an active Suzuki piano studio in the Eagle Rock area. This is her fourth year on the Board of SMAC/LA, serving as webmaster and as Director of the Southern California Student Institute at Scripps College. | |||||||||||
