SMAC/LA is proud to present a 100 Day Practice Challenge for Autumn 2011. The purpose of the project is to raise money for our student financial aid fund. On this page you will find copies of the forms you will need in order to participate, and updates on the progress of this special fund-raising campaign. 

SMAC/LA has over 500 teacher and family members. If even 10 percent of us participate, and find 10 sponsors who pledge 10 cents a day, we can raise $5000.  This would help 15 children, who could not afford it otherwise, to attend an institute next Summer.

The Practice Chart runs from September 4th to December 25th—a total of 114 days. This means that participants could miss a couple or days, or start as late as September 18th, and still complete 100 days by Christmas. The sponsorship form allows participants to set their own goals for the numbers of days they hope to complete.

Teachers: why not include this as a special project in your teaching studio?  Families: what could be better than reaping the benefits of regular practice and simultaneously helping a worthy cause? This challenge is open to all interested music teachers and students. Please help us spread the word.
