Suzuki Piano Graduation

“Music exists for the purpose of growing an admirable heart” Dr. Suzuki.
Congratulations to the approximately sixty students who submitted recordings to graduate levels 1-7 Suzuki piano, and the fifty students who performed at the two piano graduation recitals on Sunday afternoon, April 18th, 2010 at the Wright auditorium in the Pasadena Public Library.
It is always a special afternoon when parents, teachers and students come together to listen to performances that are the culmination of many hours of hard work spent studying special methods developed by Dr. Suzuki and Madame Kataoka. Their methods of teaching were passed on to southern California piano teachers who are now continuing the tradition by passing it on to the younger teachers and students. It is a wonderful feeling to know that we are keeping the teachings of Dr. Suzuki alive. Bravo to all!!!
Please start preparing now for next year’s April, 2011 graduation recital, which will again take place at the Pasadena library!
Hope everyone has a happy, healthy, and invigorating summer!
Musically yours,
Barbara Shofler
