Trainer. Currently, she is director of the Suzuki Music Program of Los Angeles in the San Femando Valley. Idell received her musical training at the University of Illinois with Paul Rolland and graduateed from Roo-sevelt University where she studied with Henri Heiza and received a Bachelor of Music degree. She has played professionally with a number of orchestras including the Jerusalem Symphonyy in Israel. Her early Suzuki training was under Elizabeth Mills and later with John Kendall and William Starr. She visited Japan several times beginning in 1966 to work under Dr Suzuki. Idell has taught at many Institutes and has
served on the board of the SAA. A founding member and the first president of SMAC/LA, she has chaired many of its events.
