LESLIE BROWN KATZ
Inspired by her own three children, Leslie discovered the philosophy of Dr. Sinichi Suzuki and its application to music and humanity. Teacher training from John Kendall, Michele George, Susan Kempter Cathy Lee, and Linda Fiore, established Leslie firmly in the Suzuki Method. She challenged her local public kindergarten to let her teach violin to every student. The program was so successful that it is now in their curriculum and spread to over 8 elementary school campuses.
Leslie maintains a private Suzuki Violin Studio along with her performing and recording career. She loves playing chamber music with her family and friends, and looks forward to performing the Beethovan Septet at the Marrowstone Music Festival this summer, where she is on the faculty.
Every Friday night that does not involve LA Opera, Leslie enjoys playing in the  Music Shabbat service at Stephen S. Wise Temple with Cantor Nathan Lam.
